The highRate
and lowRate
elements in the hotel list response offer the statistically highest and lowest rates for the given hotel.
highRate
and lowRate
are based on actual EAN API availability requests for the property from the past 30 days where check-in dates fall within the next 30 days.
In other words, they are the average high and low rates for the next month, as predicted by the past 30 days' worth of requests for that month.
Update Periods
Each time a property is requested within a 30 day period, if a higher or lower rate than the existing stored highRate
or lowRate
for the property is found, the values are updated.
Updated rates are distributed to our databases nightly, with a 1-2 day delay possible between initial uploads and changes reflected in our static database files.
Every 30 days, highRate
and lowRate
values are reset to current (same-day) values to establish a seasonal range. The update process then begins again for the next 30 day period.
