Refundable amounts are part of our Itinerary retrieval model as follows:
There will be occasions where the refundable amount for an Itineraries will NOT be available in the response received in the retrieval calls.
This is because Refundable Amounts are only presented in the Itinerary retrieval response while the Itinerary is due for a refund. Itineraries in Cancelled Status, or in Booked status with check-in date in the past will not show refundable amount information in Itinerary retrieval response, as Itinerary in question is no longer eligible for cancellation.
Partners are advised to use the information given in the cancellation array, and the refundable amounts are given prior to Cancellation to calculate the refundable amounts for their Itineraries.
In addition, refundable amounts can change depending on when you are retrieving the itinerary. For example, if you retrieve it a month before check-in vs a week before check-in, the cancellation policy may have kicked in, and refundable amounts could have changed.
