To feature content on your site, you must follow all usage and display requirements outlined in the guideline document. EPS will onboard partners who agree to comply with these guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE: Guest review text content may only be displayed in a closed user group environment. A customer, user, or agent must sign in to the site in order to view this review content. EPS Guest Review content must not be exposed to search engines in any way.
Users of the partner site must first login before having access to Guest Reviews as part of the shopping path (not only for the checkout phase).
All displays of Guest Reviews Content on Partner Site will be subject to approval by EPS before launch.
1. Reviews must be non-indexable & non-crawlable
Reviews provided through the Guest Reviews API may only be displayed in a manner such that the reviews are non-indexable and non-crawlable by internet search engines.
Guest reviews may not be displayed on dateless property detail pages which are accessible to search engines for indexing.
2. No modification of Reviews text
Review text cannot be changed/modified/altered or reused in any fashion, and must be displayed in the same way it is received in the Guest Reviews API response.
3. Reviews must not be cached or stored locally
Guest Reviews should be dynamically displayed as returned in the Reviews API and not stored locally.
4. Reviews must only be used on EPS supply
Guest Reviews must be presented on only EPS supply where EPS rates are presented, and cannot be displayed on other supplier content.
5. No Reviews content displayed on French points of sale
No Guest Reviews content via this API solution should be provided for display on French POS at this time.
6. Display source brand of the review
Source of Guest Reviews should be displayed in proximity of each review, and must include at least the corresponding EG brand logo. It is recommended to additional display 'verified review' next to the brand logo.

7. No changes to Expedia, VRBO or Hotels.com Logos
The logo used must exactly match the option chosen from the list below, without alterations or modifications aside from scaling.

If Guest Ratings content is displayed, these should be displayed for each property using the text "based on [API value] Expedia Verified Reviews". You must dynamically indicate the number of verified reviews on which it is based

Display Guidelines for Guest Reviews
The following are guidelines for how to present the Guest Reviews content in such a manner that aligns with Expedia Group media requirements.
All elements of the text review will be presented in solid black.
The only typefaces permissible for use is Century Gothic Regular. Arial can be used as a default font only when issues arise on digital platforms affecting the ability to view the content
Contrast should be created through varying font weights. Lighter fonts should be offset by heavier fonts to create tension on the page. This should be used to differentiate header and body (see example mock-up above).
All Review body copy should be left aligned (see example mock-up above).
The preferred leading (line spacing) should be the same as the body copy size. The leading is kept fairly tight for an organized and modern feel.
Individual sentences must be separated by double spacing to allow optimal accessibility to the reader. Sections must be spaced with a full return to clearly show separation of information displayed.
The body copy size should be smaller than the size of a title.
